“M. Cilento & F.llo” was founded in Naples in 1780 and is one of the most important houses in the world of Italian fashion, a history documented by numerous artifacts preserved in its historical archive, an archive declared by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism for the Campania region to be of particularly notable historical interest and subject to protection provisions. Maison Cilento is based in Naples in the splendid setting of Palazzo Ludolf, one of the oldest noble palaces on the Riviera de Chiaia, a location of great tradition overlooking the internal side of the historic Real Passeggio di Chiaia, an area which has always been frequented by Italian and international aristocrats and by illustrious figures such as scholars, poets, scientists and heads of state and government. The company is today led by Ugo Cilento, eighth generation of the historic family, who with passion, creativity and great elegance, has spread Neapolitan style throughout the world.
